Due to the nature of our pre-sale structure, all sales are final. Placing a pre-order executes an agreement with this policy. Cancellations of pre-orders are not possible once they have been confirmed. We encourage you to take a moment to think before you purchase an item from us. By exchanging monetary currency for a piece, you are choosing to become the Earth steward of this item. If you are not ready to move with this level of intentionality toward your consumption, please come back to us in the future when you are ready. DEFINITION OF PREORDER
A pre-order refers to an order placed for an item that is not yet available for shipping. In order to cut down on production waste and in an effort to move toward sustainable creation, pre-orders allow our collectors to participate in intentional collecting and guarantee we only produce quantities that have been committed to. On average the Fashion Industry creates 92 Million Tons of waste annually. To understand this number, we recommend googling “the clothing mountain seen from space in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile”. This policy is in place to ensure fairness to our collectors and to maintain the integrity of the pre-order process.


EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
In exceptional circumstances, such as a significant delay in the shipping date or discontinuation of the product, we may, at our discretion, offer a cancellation option. These instances are rare and will be communicated clearly to affected customers. The studio is not able to issue refunds after 30 days from delivery date. Please note refunds for customs duties and VAT fees will need to be handled by the customs office of importing country.


EU RESIDENTS
By the sole discretion of caretaker, we may allow EU residents to return purchases made online within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. In these cases, customers are responsible for paying return shipping. Any charges incurred for returning goods are the responsibility of the customer. We cannot refund customs duties and VAT taxes as those are collected separately by the importing country. We will not reimburse shipping fees incurred for returning an item, or refund the original delivery charge unless the item is faulty or has been sent to you in error. The returned item must be postmarked or requested within 14 days of the date the item was delivered. Goods being refunded must be unused and undamaged. caretaker retains the right to delay refunds if we have not received the goods or evidence that the goods have been returned.


SHIPPING POLICY

Due to the nature of our presale policy, please allow 4-6 weeks for the shipment of purchased pieces. Any questions about shipping should be directed to: info@maxxwade.net


IF YOUR PACKAGE IS LOST OR STOLEN
If your package is lost or stolen, please contact the shipping provider and email us at info@maxxwade.net with your order number as the subject line of the email so we can try to assist.


IF YOUR ITEM IS DAMAGED
We suggest you open your package as soon as it arrives to confirm the pieces arrived intact. Respectfully, we’ve all seen videos of shipping partners shot putting parcels into and out the back of their trucks. Bless! If your piece is damaged, the insurance included in your shipping price will cover damages. In this event, please send an email to info@caretaker.studio with your order number as the subject line of the email including images of the damage so we may assist you in filing your claim. 


PLEASE READ: If you have shipping damage claims they need to be filed 30 days from the ship date!


IF CUSTOMS OPENED YOUR PACKAGE
From time to time, customs may open your package for inspection. Please let us know if there are any incidental damages in the event of this occurrence.


IF YOUR PACKAGE IS DELAYED BY CUSTOMS
We have no insight into customs handling or any delays that may result from customs processing. The shipping provider should have the latest information on customs status.


VAT BILLED SEPARATELY
VAT is not included in the cost of each piece and is billed separately to the recipient. If you need to request a refund for VAT charges, please contact the customs office of the importing country directly.


HUMANITY CLAUSE
We understand that shipping can be a huge hassle. Please be aware that this studio is currently run by one person (hi). I will do my best to help sort through the twisted puzzle shipping can at times present and in a timely manner. Reciprocal respect in our communications is required.
