Conceptual performance artist Maxx Wade (b. 1990) is enraptured by the divine force of Trans Formation. Utilizing durational, lived-performances that result in sculptures made of videos, drawings, readymades, and written word, Maxx engages with the sacred evolution and material instability of objects, in how they collect energetic frequencies and stories when passed from human to human over the course of time. Since completing their BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013, their work has been exhibited internationally including presentations at the Hessel Museum of Art, Sculpture Center, Larrie Gallery, SIGNAL, and on Rhizome.org
