Engaging in an antidisciplinary practice, I utilize performance, linguistics, drawing, fashion, sculpture, video, and photography to investigate non-denominational spirituality and existentialism. I work to comprehend the alchemy of ethereal energies materializing into the corporeal realm. Applying somatics to process interpersonal dynamics, I make automatic drawings and write poetry to outline performances that result in assembled sculptures. The mediums I work with are continuously turning back on themselves to loop forward, comparable to the way a baker kneads bread. Vintage coffee pots are smashed in a performance video and the handles become the foundation of sculptures for a body of work, the sound of their glass shattering an audio piece hidden in the bathroom of the gallery the sculptures are presented in, barely audible to the unexpectant listener. My practice is a form of witness and testimony and acts as a mirror to absorb and reflect new learning.
